Background: Sheila is a native of St. Mary’s County, MD with 30 years of experience as a licensed MD realtor.

Education: Sheila holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Univ. of MD University College (currently UMGC); a M.S. in Management and an M.B.A. in Human Resources, both from Florida Tech.

Additional Experience:
Sheila retired after working 35+ years as a Civilian for DoD Navy at Patuxent River, MD. Sheila worked in acquisition related positions to include Budget Formulation & Execution, Contract Administration, Management and Operations Research Analysis, and, lastly , Program Management. These work experiences afforded her the opportunity to strengthen my interpersonal skills in regard to listening, leading teams, capturing details and understanding what is often not said.

Community Involvement/Outreach: Sheila is a Certified Lay Servant of Zion UM Church and the Past Matron of Fidelity Chapter #60 of the Order of Eastern Star, Prince Hall Affiliated. She is and an Elder Caregiver for senior family members. Sheila is a member of the St. Mary’s County Homelessness Prevention Board, the Unified Committee for Afro-American Contributions (UCAC) and the NAACP #7025 Executive Committee. Sheila is a recent graduate of the Univ. of MD extension Master Gardener Program for 2024 and a member of the Lexington Manor Passive Park Community Garden Steering Committee. More recently, Sheila was a 2025, St. Mary’s County Woman of the Year nominee.

Passion: Sheila is passionate about the health and well-being of the people and natural resources of St. Mary’s County, MD and beyond.

Hobbies: Sheila enjoys reading, cooking, traveling and gardening. It’s her way of stepping away to slow the pace, relax and rejuvenate.
